Privacy Policy

Disclosure Files (United Kingdom) is the data controller for this site. We take a privacy-first approach: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell your data, and we prefer tools that respect you. This policy explains what that means in practice and is written to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read, without building a profile of you. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
  • Server logs. Like any website, our servers record standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. These are retained briefly and not used to identify you.
  • Things you send us. If you contact us or submit material, we keep what you send so we can respond.

Cookies

We aim to run with no non-essential cookies. Any analytics we use are configured to be cookieless or strictly necessary. If we later add features that require cookies, we will ask first.

How we use it, and who sees it

We use this data only to run, secure, and improve the site, and to reply to you. We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with the service providers that host and protect the site (for example our hosting and analytics providers), and only as needed to deliver the service. Where the site shows advertising in future, ad partners will be named here and you will be told how to control it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete it. Technical logs are short-lived.

Contact

To ask a question or make a data request, please use our contact form and select “Privacy / data request”. We do not publish an email address (it only attracts spam); the form reaches us directly.
