Reported encounters with non-human intelligences — Greys, Nordics, Reptilians, Insectoids, and the broader question of who, or what, has been visiting.
Distinct from the UAP file, which catalogues craft, this file catalogues the entities reported aboard them or beside them. The taxonomy here is older than it appears: descriptions of small grey beings, of tall Nordic-looking figures, of reptilian features, recur across cultures and decades with disturbing consistency.
We treat each reported encounter as a witness statement, not a confirmed observation. We cite the source. We note where claims have been retracted, embellished, or independently corroborated. The pattern across uncoordinated witnesses is what we ask our readers to weigh.
This file does not claim non-human intelligences are visiting Earth. It claims that thousands of people on the record believe they have met one.

The Betty and Barney Hill Encounter
On the night of the nineteenth to twentieth of September 1961, Betty and Barney Hill reported an unidentified object while driving south on US Route 3 through the White Mountains, and could not account for roughly two hours of the journey. The sighting was logged through Pease AFB into Project Blue Book, where the stated conclusion moved through several explanations before settling on "insufficient data". The abduction narrative itself emerged later, in hypnosis sessions conducted in 1963–64.

The Grusch Whistleblower Complaint and the 2023 Congressional Testimony
On the twenty-sixth of July 2023, former Air Force major and intelligence officer David Charles Grusch testified under oath to a House Oversight subcommittee that he had been informed, in the course of official duties, of a multi-decade UAP crash-retrieval and reverse-engineering programme kept from congressional oversight. His underlying complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General remains classified and unpublished; what exists publicly is the sworn testimony, his written statement, a congressional office's account of the ICIG finding, and a Defense Department Inspector General reprisal report that did not substantiate retaliation. The Pentagon's own historical review, published in 2024, reached findings directly opposed to the reverse-engineering allegations.

The Ariel School Encounter
On the morning of the sixteenth of September 1994, around sixty pupils at Ariel School near Ruwa, Zimbabwe, reported that one or more disc-shaped craft descended over the scrub beside their playground and that small dark-clad beings with very large eyes emerged. Interviews and drawings were collected within days by a BBC correspondent and a southern-African investigator, and two months later by a Harvard psychiatrist. No government, military or intelligence record of the event was located; the case rests entirely on witness testimony, contemporaneous journalism and private investigator files, and remains disputed.

The Kelly Cahill Encounter
In the early hours of the eighth of August 1993, Kelly Cahill reported that she, her husband and their three children encountered a large illuminated craft and tall dark humanoid figures on the road home through the Dandenong foothills, and lost roughly an hour of time. The case is celebrated for an alleged independent corroboration by witnesses in a second vehicle — but the investigation report said to contain that corroboration has never been released in the thirty-three years since, and no primary document supporting the event has been located.

The Wilson-Davis Memo
The Wilson-Davis memo is a fifteen-page set of handwritten notes attributed to the physicist Dr Eric W. Davis, dated the sixteenth of October 2002, purporting to record Admiral Thomas R. Wilson describing being denied access in 1997 to a compartmented UAP crash-retrieval and reverse-engineering programme. The document physically exists and was entered into the U.S. congressional record in 2022, but its contents are unauthenticated and its authenticity is contested — Wilson calls it fiction, while other named figures have variously affirmed the account or declined comment.

The 1954 French UFO Wave — the Saint-Rémy Landing Where the Occupant "Spoke Russian"
On the night of the twentieth to twenty-first of October 1954, during an intense autumn wave of French UFO reports, construction worker Louis (Lazlo) Ujvari said an armed occupant of a small grounded craft at Saint-Rémy in the Vosges addressed him and, when he answered in Russian, conversed with him in Russian before the craft rose and departed. The case survives only through contemporaneous 1954 newspaper coverage and official questioning; it was never physically corroborated and remains a witness-testimony case.

Las Vegas Backyard NHI Encounter
On the night of the thirtieth of April 2023 a bright fireball crossed the skies over the US Southwest and was independently logged by the American Meteor Society. About an hour later a Las Vegas family called 911 to report that eight- to ten-foot non-human beings were standing in their backyard. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded, found no physical evidence, and closed the case; the beings rest entirely on witness testimony and a later family cellphone video.

The Roswell Incident
In early July 1947 the Roswell Army Air Field publicly announced it had recovered a crashed "flying disc," an identification the Army retracted within about a day in favour of a weather balloon and radar reflector. Two later U.S. government reviews concluded the 1947 debris came from the classified Project Mogul balloon programme and that subsequent "alien body" accounts matched 1950s anthropomorphic test dummies. No primary government record documents the recovery of an extraterrestrial craft or bodies.

Varginha Incident
In January 1996, residents of Varginha in Minas Gerais, Brazil, reported seeing one or more strange humanoid creatures and a UFO, and alleged that the Brazilian military captured a being. It is Brazil's most heavily documented UFO case: Army military-police inquiries were opened in 1997 and transferred to the Arquivo Nacional, and as of 2025–2026 the affair is the subject of a formal U.S. congressional records push.

The Alleged UAP "Legacy" Crash-Retrieval Program
In sworn testimony to a US House Oversight subcommittee on the twenty-sixth of July 2023, former intelligence officer David Grusch stated he had been informed of a multi-decade UAP crash-retrieval and reverse-engineering programme, and that "non-human" craft and "biologics" had been recovered — but he gave no specifics in open session and said his knowledge came from interviewing others, not personal observation. The US government's own All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) reported in March 2024 that it found no empirical evidence any such programme ever recovered or reverse-engineered off-world technology. As of June 2026 no primary document confirming recovered craft or bodies has been publicly released.
